This fun and spooky blackberry lemonade combines the tartness of fresh berries with subtle herbal notes from bay leaves — perfect for Halloween parties or any festive fall gathering.
Beastly Blackberry & Bay Lemonade Mocktail
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup simple syrup
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Blackberries and bay leaf (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine simple syrup and bay leaves. Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool. Strain out bay leaves.
- In a blender, puree blackberries and strain to remove seeds if desired.
- In a pitcher, combine blackberry puree, lemon juice, bay-infused syrup, and cold water. Stir well.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes.
- Pour lemonade over ice and garnish with fresh blackberries and a bay leaf.
- Serve chilled.
Tips
- Use honey syrup for a richer, deeper flavor.
- Substitute sparkling water for still water for a bubbly version.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less syrup to taste.
