The Shirley Temple is a classic non-alcoholic drink that’s fruity, fizzy, and fun. Originally created for the child actress it’s named after, this sweet mocktail is still a party favorite for kids and adults alike.
Shirley Temple Recipe
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup lemon-lime soda (such as Sprite or 7UP)
- 1/4 cup ginger ale
- 1 tablespoon grenadine syrup
- Ice cubes
- Maraschino cherry (for garnish)
- Orange slice or lime wedge (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
- Pour in the lemon-lime soda and ginger ale.
- Slowly add the grenadine syrup so it gently sinks and creates a layered effect.
- Stir gently if desired for a uniform color, or leave it layered for presentation.
- Garnish with a maraschino cherry and an orange slice or lime wedge.
- Serve immediately and enjoy this sweet, fizzy treat!
Tips
- For a slightly less sweet version, reduce the grenadine to 1/2 tablespoon.
- You can use club soda in place of ginger ale for a lighter twist.
- Add a splash of fresh lime juice for a touch of citrus zing.
